Penal Rosary

The Irish penal rosary, or An Paidrín Beag (“the little rosary”), is a small one-decade rosary that developed in Ireland during the Penal Laws (roughly late 1600s to early 1800s), when Catholic worship and religious objects were heavily restricted.
