Faelan and the Miracle Machines

Far from his home in Britain, Faelan is a runaway slave in Alexandria, Egypt. Gravely injured by his Roman master, he is afraid of being caught and returned to him. Quite by accident, he is discovered by Heron, the great mathematician, scientist, and inventor. Can Faelan find a new identity and a brighter future as Heron's apprentice?
